The Oroszlány Mining Museum is not just an exhibition space, but a living history lesson. Visitors can explore the history of coal mining in the Vértes Mountains among original machines, tools and documents, while personal stories bring the miners’ everyday lives closer.

On the grounds of the former mining facility, visitors can explore both underground tunnels and surface buildings, gaining an authentic picture of the miners’ hard yet community-driven lives.
The interactive exhibitions allow visitors to handle mining tools, see giant machines in operation, and children can ride the mining train to experience what it felt like to go deep underground. The original dispatcher’s centre and the mine manager’s office, with period documents and furnishings, tell stories of everyday life in the mines.

The museum is not just about the past: family days, escape rooms and themed events make it engaging and attractive for all generations.
