Azaum in Almásfüzitő presents a unique site of the Roman limes. The reconstructed military camp and exhibition offer both a historical adventure and an interactive experience, making the Roman past truly tangible.

For over four centuries, the Romans guarded the Danube frontier known as the limes. Azaum in Almásfüzitő commemorates this era: visitors can enter a reconstructed military camp to discover the daily life of legionaries, Roman military technology and architecture.
Authentic buildings – watchtowers, barracks, a commander’s house – showcase exhibitions with weapons and everyday objects. During live programs, guests can dress in Roman attire, try out military drills, while children enjoy crafts and playful activities.

Azaum is not just an exhibition but living history, with festivals, Roman days and community events throughout the year.
